* Architecture will take your breath away
* Learn more about Santiago Calatrava's buildings and structures
* His incredible achievements and construction failures
Valencian born Santiago Calatrava is a current super star of the international architectural scene. Right here in his hometown he built the magnificent complex CAC (1995-2010), including the highest opera house worldwide, an IMAX cinema, sciences museum, and the largest aquarium in Europe (Oceanografìc, architect Feliz Candela). The vast and mostly white buildings are situated in the former river bed (nowadays dry and a lush park), with the beautiful mediterran blue skies as their backdrop. On this guided tour you will learn about construction ideas and the incredible achievements when it comes to statics. Flaws and failures are also being discussed. Your guide will take you on an immersive outside visit of all seven buildings. We can adapt this private tour to your requests, adding an inside visit to the opera (public or private tour), a movie in the IMAX cinema Hemisferic or a visit to catch up with Nemo and Dory in the aquarium Oceanografìc. With our professional and well informed guides you will see the City of Arts and Sciences in new and exciting ways.
